And it should be held for adults at their workplace too.

I think you forgot the image lol
Must be an instance issue.
It worked for me
huh, it just doesn't show up for me for some reason

Is there any other .world or other instance posts missing content? If so might be worth bringing up to either your admins or app dev. Unsure which would be the correct choice.
A library card costs...what? Five bucks? Ten? Maybe? And in return you can get your hands on just about any book you can think of. Not to mention music, e-books and movies. FREE. Hell, with sites like Kanopy, you don't even need to pay for Netflix anymore. Libraries offer all sorts of classes and programs, too.
Libraries are the shit, and you should be supporting yours more.
I use my library all the time, literally daily. It's not about that, it's about how great the book fair was.
I know. I'm just saying that going to your local library is exactly the same thing and is offered year-round on almost every day of the week. No need to bring it to anyone. It's right there and offers everything you describe.
this isn't about that. it was the excitement of the book fair. it meant you were going to get some cool books and maybe some of those neat science rocks and minerals books that came with actual minerals and stuff.
or bug collecting books with bug catching apparati attached. was so cool.
it wasn't about overtaking libraries. it was to get kids excited about reading. and it worked.
it was a nice thing to be excited for.
Library card costs me nothing. My tax dollars pay for the local library.
It has inter-library loan with lots of places.
Local colleges/universities will also let you (at a minimum) use books and tools at the library, and usually give you a card too.
My media collection is mostly gathered from my local library.
The there's things like Kanopy that you mentioned. There's a few other similar systems.
My tax dollars fund my local library, as well. But I still had to pay a small fee for the card, as I recall. It's been years though, so that policy may have changed.
You have to pay for library cards where you are?
I did pay for mine (which, admittedly, was quite some time ago), but it looks like library cards at my local library are now completely free of charge. That's awesome! :)
the scholastic book fair was the best. to this day my parents said it was the most they happily spent on books for us.
because after they bought us a bunch the house would be quiet cause we'd all be in various positions reading for the next week and a half or so. 😂
