Explanation: The monarch Cleopatra VII of Egypt, usually known simply as Cleopatra to modern audiences, is sometimes hyper-sexualized by recollections, both in modernity and antiquity. It is true that she had affairs with the Roman politicians Julius Caesar and Mark Antony (not at the same time!), both of whom ruled over some significant part of the Roman state at the time of the affair.

... but Caesar himself, who had an affair with Queen Cleopatra and was rumored to have had an affair with King Nicomedes of Bithynia, rarely gets the same treatment in modern depictions, despite being so infamous for sleeping around that even his own beloved troops teased their 'bald adulterer' about it at the time. Gods-damned double standards!
