My bluetooth headset lost audio in one side. I slapped the other. It started working again.

I have no one to share this with so I'm putting it here.

Percussive maintenance

Most likely a poor solder joint.

Fear will keep it in working order.

It must have been a crt TV in a last life.

Ayyyyyyy!!!!!!

Until very recently, Bluetooth headphones worked that way. It wasn't two seperate channels, but one channel and it pierces the first one. Someone with more knowledge can explain it better, but I tried to dumb it down.

Well, basically, Bluetooth chip is expensive, especially for older Bluetooth standard. It's cheaper to have one headphone to receive Bluetooth data and transfer it to the other headphone using some dumb RF protocol, maybe even scrambled FM.
