Amazon streaming movie intermittently dropping the sound
2d 1h ago by piefed.zip/u/crwth in mildlyinfuriatingTried to watch a movie through Amazon Prime streaming service. The audio was terrible, cutting out frequently. Annoying, but subtitles made it almost watchable.
The amazing thing, and the real reason that motivated me to post here, is that this technical glitch only affected the movie itself. For some reason, all the commercials played flawlessly and in full audio.
It's possible that the video had surround sound, say, 7 channels or something, and that the commercials didn't. Or that the video bitrates for the movie and ads are different.
Well the movie server is in the uae while the ad server is in your country.
Point 1: If the problem is on both Amazon and Netflix, the problem likely isn't the service.
Point 2: Dump Fascist Tech and learn to sail. Consider an eyepatch.
