Alito pauses abortion pill restrictions for 1 week
22h 34m ago by lemmy.world/u/TheTimeKnife in politics from thehill.comJustice Samuel Alito on Monday briefly halted a ruling that would prevent mifepristone, one of two pills used in medication abortion, from being prescribed without an in-person doctor visit. Alito’s pause will last for one week as the Supreme Court considers the case. It temporarily restores expanded access to the drug but does not necessarily reflect the court’s thinking. The drug manufacturers filed an emergency appeal at the high court over the weekend after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit blocked a 2023 regulation allowing it to be prescribed through telehealth, in pharmacies and through the mail. It brings the issue of abortion back again to the Supreme Court, four years after the conservative majority overturned Roe v. Wade.
I believe they have a two-year shelf life. Get them now if you think you'll need them. There are places where you can order based on potential future need.
May the Lord bless you and keep you for this compassion. Mashallah.
I'm surprised they paused it. This seems to be a component of the grand plan. Need that cheap homegrown labor desperate for the lowest paying jobs to continue the cycle of ultra-poverty of the poors and who worship your 'news'-slop telling you what to think and who to vote for.
I don't even understand what banning it was supposed to achieve. It's a net loss for everybody.
