And so enters a game that is a perfect venn diagram of horse girls and history buffs.

Imagine if they got The Hu to do the soundtrack...

Mongolian folk music is criminally underutilized.

They've used it in trailers for the game so I'm guessing there must be some in there.

Who?

I’ll see myself out. The Hu are freaking awesome and should be the entire soundtrack.

and upgrade your horse into a motocycle!

Motorcycle breeding mechanics would be a very different game 😂

The who?

Exactly!

Dude. Yes.

Inside of me there are two wolves:

"Wow, systems driven with travel based objectives, that's a good setup mechanically for a game"

"horse"

Is this an historically accurate Strand-type game?

Is it just walking that makes it Strand-like or does it also need fights against ghosts and/or Mads Mickkelsen?

Don't forget grenades made from bodily fluids. That's key.

I would say Mads Mikkelsen is a plus, but it's terrain traversal that should define a genre.

I guess if we define it loosely I know of a few of those now. Baby Steps, and Easy Delivery Co are simple games about getting around, with some terrain challenges.

Easy Delivery Co is a good one, but for me it feels like it doesn't give you enough freedom to be that.

But yeah, Sam Porter Bridges driving a car from Initial D on Play Station 1 is kinda what it feels like

Oh man I'm a horse girl AND history buff
