Renee Nicole Good’s death at the hands of an immigration officer was preceded by a wave of misinformation peddled by right-wing influencers.
On Wednesday morning in south Minneapolis, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer killed Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old American citizen and prize-winning poet, by firing a bullet into the window of her Honda Pilot.
You can, and should, watch the disturbing firsthand video footage of the shooting for yourself, from the multiple angles available.
Otherwise, the same self-professed "citizen journalists" whose often misleading and Trump administration--backed vertical videos about Minnesota helped bring ICE agents to the city (where they went on to tear-gas outraged protesters and harass high school officials) will feel free to rewrite the story of what really happened here.
The byline I keep reading is “they” aren’t showing the vid from “the other angle” that clearly depicts an ICE agent being run over.
Thus far, no one I’ve responded to has been able to produce this video when asked.
I think they mean this one but the guy is obviously not in enough danger to start blasting.

Edit: slow the video down a bunch, I don't think the vehicle actually starts to accelerate much until after he shoots her.
This video shows him clearly leaning over onto the vehicle, too.
I have no idea what right wing people think this video justifies.
They don't need a justification, they need an excuse.
Shoots her from the side where he is in no danger of being hit.
Honestly I don't think the driver even noticed the guy walking in front of the car - she was likely concentrating on the guy trying to open her door while the killer, for whatever reason, walked in front of a moving car. There are wild animals with more sense than that...
There is a reduction of attention in the form of tunneled vision when our fight flight freeze is triggered. The most written about effect is “weapon focus”. People robbed or threatened with a gun or knife can describe it and the hand holding it in great detail and only infer the rest.
Good odds she had a tunneling effect on whomever was closest. If we play the human probability numbers that’s the most likely scenario.
It would be good if it was not called a death, or a shooting etc etc etc. It was a murder.
That cunt went out of his way to escalate things. He was in front of the car. He had his gun pulled instantly. He shot without hesitation.
He went out that day to murder someone.
And, let's face it, he probably went out a lot of days wanting to murder someone, but this day Renee Good was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Again, it was murder. Plain and simple.

You must be American, because every other country has seen for a long time what the USA is. It has always routinely invaded and terrorized other countries so its corporations could steal and profit from their resources. Its governments serve money and not the American people, and will kill as many as it takes to protect the wealth of their wealthy. We could see it before 9/11 and it was shocking then that so many in the USA had no idea why anyone wouldn't like their country. Americans have long been deeply awash in propaganda that hides the truth of how their country operates.
Plenty of americans know how fucked their country is. Probably the majority do.
This comment chain is the evidence of the opposite. Outsiders act like the country was equally fucked in 2023 and 2025. The tankies think we've always been equivalent to or worse than Russia and China. There are a number of people who just "don't pay attention to politics", which caused our current situation.
I have been aware since about 1983 that the Disjointed States of The Western Hemisphere do not have my, or anyone not inside the big club's, interests at heart. I have lived in fear for my life since the 'don't ask don't tell' days dominated our military. This country has been a rogue state for the entirety of its existence. Anyone who takes the US foreign policy seriously is a moron at least and ibecile at most. But, you can make some fucking money here...
