And I'll point out that Workers & Resources is on a historical sale. For those of us boycotting American goods, it is an American company but you can at least buy it on GOG which, as I understand it, is Polish. (Unsure with the recent sale but he's Polish so...)
GOG is still headquartered in Poland. As far as I understood, the sale was to spin it off on it's own, so it had it's own focused staff/company entity. Before it was part of CDPR, the devs of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077.
I knew them primarily from having a better Civ game than the Civ series. I'd recommend Old World, now even more.
