One thing currently a bit lacking on Linux is the performance of ray tracing with the open source Mesa RADV driver, but a big improvement is coming.
Dang, very exciting! I'm already pretty darn impressed with Linux's RT performance in some titles, such as it keeping close to Windows running Doom TDA through Proton on my 7900XTX, but I'd love to dabble more with Path Tracing one day, so it's great to see Linux RT performance making big jumps like this.
My 7800xt has become the gpu I game on primarily. Sometimes I think about getting the 9070xt but then I see the steambox is going to have the 7600 Laptop variant and I realize that this generation is good enough and that improvements will keep coming.
