Knowledge is power.

Don't listen to someone trying to discourage you from bettering yourself.

There are career counselors at colleges/universities/trade schools.

Maybe reach out to them.

Hey, I wasn't a straight A student in high school or grade school. I found both to be distasteful and really struggled to motivate myself to attend.

But college isn't like h.s.

Especially community college. It's just people there to learn. To find something they are good at.

Take a variety of courses and find something you like and are motivated to pursue.

That's how I ended up finding my major. It wasn't something even on my radar. I just took a course in the topic because it fulfilled a requirement and now I'm finishing up my PhD.

Not that you have to go that far. I'm just saying I never even considered this level of education until I found my subject I excelled in. And I didn't even know what that was until I just went out and tried different subjects.

Someone gave me some good advice when I was in my early 20s.

Education is an investment in yourself. No one can ever take it from you once you have it. That knowledge is yours forever.

Is there anything more important than investing in your own mind ?

Why do you want a bachelors degree? Do you have a planned career in mind already that requires one? Trust me, if you're getting a degree so you can say you got a degree, it wont be worth the money, time or headache. Here's what I did, narrowed down a yearly income I'd be comfortable with, research careers in which the median income is at or above that number, filter out things I cant/won't do, research minimum requirements to start initially in determined feild, obtain requirements, get a job in that feild (may require networking and lots of bullshit interviews that go nowhere, stay strong). Be smart with my money and retire somewhat early. For context, I got the degree before doing what I recommended and it kind of bit me. I'm a power plant engineer with a degree in mechanical engineering. I could have not gone to school, gotten my initial license, gotten a job and been ahead 4 years financially and career wise.
