Learn a trade instead, you don’t need to die for some billionaire
And more importantly, you don't need to kill for one either!
Seems like a terrible decision at any age to become a murderer for hire for a few rich assholes that won’t even know your name when they throw away your life for their own agenda.
No it’s not too old but before you join go to the va and the vfw (if you are in the us) and talk to actual vets from the army AND all the other branches and see if any of them are really a good fit for you. Failure to do that little step will most likely result in a very bad decision. Maybe you decide the air force is better, maybe you join the army anyway but choose a better career in the army. Maybe you don’t join at all. Do not be like so many others and fail to do that step

Last I checked 35 was the cut off but that might’ve gone up post afgahanistan. Personally I’d say find any other plan but the military is the last stop for many people making too little to survive in our capitalist hellscape. If you do have to make that choice shoot for Air Force or Navy, Both of them I think live a bit better than the others with Air Force being the comfiest hell my role was basically the same role I am doing in the civilian world I just don’t have to wear a uniform. Same cubicle, less rules lol.
