I feel like that is overly reductive. These are people who are seeing their lives become harder year over year, and are being handed a convenient scapegoat by people they were taught to trust. But ever since Trump took office again, and ICE started rounding people up, these people have been SILENT. No banging on the ceiling , no dirty looks, no monopolizing the courtyard, etc.
I'm pretty sure they're just flying under the radar, knowing that we could make their lives miserable with one phone call. I wouldn't do it, but if the tables were turned, I have no doubt that they would dime us out in a heartbeat.
