Wtf? You will own nothing, and you will like it. I really want to know what their excuse is for the "free trial".

I'd return it. Costco has a 90 day return policy. One of those two companies are going to change their tune fast if that guy says they're going to return a $20,000 piece of equipment, that is now considered "open box" condition.
